During the visit, while extending best wishes to dignitaries, monks, nuns, and lay Buddhists in the province on occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday festival, Deputy Secretary Lê Văn Nưng highlighted practical contributions made by local Buddhists to socio-economic development, especially supports for the Covid-19 epidemic prevention over the past year.

On the same day, a delegation of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs visited and extended Buddha’s Birthday greetings to the VBS executive boards in Cho Moi district, Long Xuyen city and several Buddhist worshipping places in the locality.

* In Ben Tre province’s Chau Thanh district, Deputy Secretary of the district Party’s Committee Bùi Thanh Sang extended the Buddha’s Birthday greetings to the VBS Executive Board in the district during a visit made on May 21.

* A delegation of Gia Lai provincial Committee for Religious Affairs paid visits from May 12 to 24 to Buddhists dignitaries and VBS chapters on occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday festival 2021.

During the congratulation visits, the delegation met with the VBS Executive Committee in the province, VBS executive boards in the provincial city and districts, and heads of the VBS discernment committee and executive committee in the province.

* Kien Giang provincial Religious Committee organized several delegations from May 12-21 for visiting and extending greetings to 32 VBS dignitaries and chapters in the province, ahead of the Buddha’s Birthday festival 2021.
