Authorities in Ho Chi Minh City honor religious volunteers supporting frontline forces against Covid-19 pandemic

The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee in Ho Chi Minh City and the municipal Committee for Religious Affairs on October 25 honored 11 religious volunteers who have supported the Covid-19 treatment in Trung Vuong hospital.  

During the event, Vice Chairwoman of the municipal VFF Phan Kiều Thanh Hương spoke highly of practical contributions made by 11 religious volunteers in supporting the Covid-19 treatment in hospitals in the city.

As reported, these 11 religious volunteers, who are Buddhist monks, nuns and lay followers, have joint the frontline forces for supporting Covid-19 treatment and helping Covid-19 patients in Trung Vuong hospital since September 18.

On the occasion, the municipal VFF and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee in the city presented certificates of recommendation to 11 religious volunteers for their practical efforts in the pandemic prevention work in the locality.
