Authorities in Da Nang, Ca Mau, Kon Tum, Tien Giang extends Tet greetings to religious dignitaries

Da Nang municipal authorities held on January 24 a meeting with local religious dignitaries on occasion of the traditional New Year (Tet) 2022.

Attending the event included Deputy Secretary of the city People’s Committee cum Chairman of the city People’s Council Nguyễn Minh Triết, representatives from local agencies and over 100 religious dignitaries in the city.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Secretary Nguyễn Minh Triết hailed practical contributions made by religious followers and organizations for the socio-economic development in the city. He expressed hope that the religious dignitaries would continue encouraging religious communities to proactively join patriotic movements, contributing to the development of the city. 

In Tien Giang province, a delegation from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs led by Chairwoman Bùi Thị Mai paid Tet visits to Most Venerable Thích Huệ Minh, Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s (VBS) Executive Committee, Senior Venerable Thích Quảng Lộc, Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Board in My Tho city, Senior Venerable Thích Trung Chánh, Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Board in Chau Thanh district, and Superior Nun Thích nữ Tịnh Nghiêm, Head of the VBS’s Board for Nun Affairs.
