Typically, Catholics of San parish in Lang Giang district’s My Ha commune have always taken the lead in implementing the movement “All people unite to build a cultural life” and social programs for creating new-style countryside maintaining public order in the locality.

Contributing to these results, the armed forces in Lang Giang district has closely collaborated with relevant agencies to well perform the mass mobilization work, provide working days for the construction of rural roads, organize self-defense and militia forces to clean public places and canals, and help disadvantaged people to develop family businesses economy.

Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee in My Ha commune Nguyễn Văn Lịch said that in 2021, My Ha commune has 14 youth joining the army, including six young Catholics of San parish.

Because of the state administration on religion is an important, regular and long-term task, the Party’s Committee of the provincial Military Command has directed affiliated units to closely coordinate with concerning local authorities and agencies in developing action plans suiting customs and actual conditions of the residential areas. At the same time, the armed forces in the district regularly maintain exchanges with Catholic followers in order to promptly understand their actual needs and practices, so they can better implement the mass mobilization tasks.

Over the past five years, the Party’s Committee of the provincial Military Command have held 68 disseminating conferences on the defense and security knowledge for  nearly 6,000 religious dignitaries and deacons in the locality, as well as encouraged them to uphold the patriotic tradition and mobilize lay Catholics to well perform the local defense and military work in the province.

In the coming time, the provincial Military Command would continue closely collaborating with relevant agencies to disseminate the Party and the State’s guidelines and policies in the armed forces and local people, especially Catholics, and proactively boosting socio-economic development in religious communities.
