Armed forces in Ba Ria - Vung Tau accompany with religious countrymen

Currently, followers of religions including Buddhism, Catholicism, Caodaism and Protestantism in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province accounts for 50% of the provincial population.

For the past years, the armed force and religious organizations in the province have organized many propaganda and exchange meetings with religious dignitaries and followers in the locality.

Many meetings have taken place at religious places of worship, such as Buddhist pagodas and Christian churches, thanks to support of the management boards of religious worshipping establishments.

Most recently, a propaganda meeting held by Thien Ton Phat Quang Pagoda in collaboration with the provincial military command has attracted 3,000 Buddhists from Ba Ria – Vung Tau and other provinces and cities.

During meetings held in collaboration with the provincial committee for religious affairs, reporters from the provincial military command have introduced contents of state policies and laws on national defense & security, as well as the current protection of national sovereignty overs the country’s seas and islands, to key followers of religions in the localities.

For the past years, the provincial military command have also paid exchange visits to over 160 worshipping places of religions in the locality, as well as joint sport exchanges local religious organizations.
