The Phu Tho provincial committee for religious steering held on March 22 a meeting for reviewing its performance in 2020 and mapping key tasks for 2021.
The event was chaired by Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee cum Chairman of the provincial religious steering committee Hoàng Công Thủy.
As reported at the event, in 2020, the religious steering committee of Phu Tho has closely worked with local authorities for better meeting religious practices according to state laws.
In addition, religious communities in the province have made practical contributions to social movements and charity works, promoting the socio-economic development in the province.
Phu Tho has two major religions of Buddhism and Catholicism. In addition, the province also has 623 places of belief worship with 369 festivals.
