11/10/2021

An Su Tien Vang Temple located in An Hoi ward of Ben Tre city has formally received the certificate of recognition as a provincial historical and cultural relic site at a solemn ceremony held on November 6.
The ceremony held by the authorities of An Hoi saw the presence of Standing Deputy Secretary of Ben Tre province’s Party Committee Hồ Thị Hoàng Yến, Vice Chairwoman of Ben Tre provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Thị Bé Mười, representatives of local authorities, and a large number of locals.

An Su Tien Vang Temple was built in 1956 by the first rector of Kien Hoa State High School Nguyễn Văn Trinh and other contributors for paying tribute to teachers who had rendered meritorious contributions in the field of education in Ben Tre at the time.

Since then, the temple has become a symbol of respect to teachers and education for Ben Tre people in particular and Vietnamese people in general.

Given these historical and cultural values, the provincial government of Ben Tre approved on June 18, 2021 the classification of An Su Tien Vang Temple as a historical and cultural relic in the southern province.
