The festival marking the 574th dead anniversary of General Le Khoi (also called Chieu Trung Dai Vuong), a famous talented General of the Lam Son insurrection in the Le Dynasty, took place on June 22-23 (the second and third of the fifth lunar month).
Due to the complex of the Covid-19 pandemic, this year festival taking place in Chieu Trung Temple located in Ha Tinh province’s Thach Ha district featured only ceremonial activities, with simple processions both on the road by communes in Thach Ha District and the river by communes in Loc Ha District.
Chieu Trung Temple Festival is a worshipping festival dedicated to General Le Khoi. The event takes place annually from the 1st to the 3rd day of the fifth lunar month to mark the General’s dead anniversary.
The Chieu Trung Temple Festival of Ha Tinh Province’s Thach Ha District was classified as the national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2017.
