255th birth anniversary and 200th death commemoration of world cultural celebrity cum great poet Nguyễn Du to be marked in Ha Tinh

Ha Tinh provincial People's Committee has approved a plan for the organization of the 255th birth anniversary and 200th death commemoration of world cultural celebrity cum great poet Nguyễn Du (1765-1820).  

According to the plan, main activities will be held from July 2020 to September, including a seminar and contests relating Nguyễn Du’s great work “the Tale of Kiều", Nguyen Du Culture and Tourism Week and Nguyen Du literature award ceremony, etc.

In particular, the 255th birth anniversary and 200th death commemoration of world cultural celebrity cum great poet Nguyễn Du will take place in Ha Tinh municipal square on September 26, the date of his death (the 10th of the eight lunar month).
