Authorities and locals of Mai Phu commune in Ha Tinh province’s Loc Ha district commemorated the 1298th death anniversary of King Mai Hac De at the historical and cultural relic site of King Mai Hắc Đế temple at a ceremony held on February 24.
The ceremony took place solemnly with traditional rituals expressing gratitude of local people to the King.
Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the death anniversary this year was held simply and without festive activities, art and sport performances.
Worshipping offering of Chung cakes are labeled, marked with the year of death anniversary
In previous years, all villages in Mai Phu commune organized a joint event of making of nearly 2,000 Chung cakes. This year, due to the Covid-19, the commune authority suspended large gatherings, so assigned only Mai Lam village to make 120 Chung cakes for offering to the King.
