Ha Tinh province reviews ten-year implementation of Party Resolution on religious affairs

Ha Tinh provincial Party Committee reviewed ten years implementing the Party’s Resolution 25 of the Central Party Committee (9th plenum) at a conference held on Dec. 12.
Currently, there are about 150,000 followers of Catholicism and Buddhism in the province, accounting for 11.8% of the provincial population.
As reported at the conference, for the past ten years, religious activities by recognized religious organizations have been conducted in accordance with the laws, and protected by the laws; the apparatus of the State governance of religious affairs has been consolidated and strengthened.
Local authorities at various levels have addressed all religious issues, such as establishments of new parishes and religious communes, religion-related land and building of new worshipping facilities, in accordance with law provisions. Appointment, ordainment and transfer of religious dignitaries have been facilitated favorably. Many religious dialogues with religious dignitaries as well as religious trainings for officials working on state religious affairs have been held. Important religious events and festivals have been organized safely and peacefully.
The successful implementation of the Party resolution in the past ten years has substantially contributed to promote the socio-economic development and improve the material and spiritual life of people in the locality.
