Da Nang municipal culture and sport department in collaboration with the municipal committee for religious affairs held on October 25 a forum on the implementation of civilized lifestyles in funerals and worshiping practices in the locality.
Joining at the event included Vice Chairman of the municipal culture and sport department Hà Vỹ, Vice Chairman of the municipal religious affairs committee Ngô Khôi and 40 representatives from religious organizations, belief establishments and funeral service businesses in the city.
The discussion aimed to disseminate contents of joint circular No. 04/2014/TTLT-BVHTTDL-BNV of the culture, sport and tourism ministry and the home affairs ministry on implementation of civilized lifestyles in belief and religious establishments.
During the forum, participating delegates suggested to inform and encourage people not to use loud mourning music and perform superstitious activities, limit the use of votive paper, choose cremation instead of the burial of a death body, etc.
