Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee in coordination with the Provincial Military Commander held on Jun 18 a meeting with religious dignitaries and outstanding people in ethnic communities in the province.
During the meeting, the provincial authorities informed results of the socio-economic development of the locality over the past years.
As reported, Binh Thuan is home to 35 ethnic groups and eight religions recognized by the state with over 496,000 religious followers.
In 2018, the provincial military commander held four training courses on knowledge of national security and defense for key religious and prestigious people in ethnic communities in the province.
Addressing at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Huỳnh Thanh Cảnh hailed practical contributions of religious and ethnic communities to the socio-economic development in the locality. He also called on religious dignitaries and prestigious ethnic minorities to promote their role in local movements for social development in the locality.
