As many as 80 Islamic followers in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 8 were helped with free administrative procedures for national identification cards right at Anwar Mosque located in the district’s Ward 1 on July 7.

These Muslims are elders, weak people and young women who often wear hijab or face covering when they come out of their house.

All the administrative procedure and fee for the identification certificate have been supported by the youth union of the Public Security in Ho Chi Minh City.

It’s reported that, for the first half of the year 2019, the public security youth in the city have come to people with blindness, disabilities or old age in the city for helping them apply for the identification card, of which 500 people are followers of Buddhism, Catholicism, etc.

The youth union of the city public security also planned to speed up these activities, as well as disseminate state laws to religious youth in the city in the coming time.
