A meeting with Buddhist clerics attending the summer retreat at Uu Dam pagoda located in Ho Chi Minh city’s Thu Duc district for disseminating the Law on Belief and Religion 2016 was held on July 9.
Attending the event co-organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee in Ho Chi Minh city and the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s executive board in Thu Duc district were 70 monks and nuns of the summer retreat being held in Uu Dam pagoda.
During the meeting, Former Vice Chairman of the VFF Committee in Ho Chi Minh city Đỗ Trung Tín introduced basic contents of the new law on belief and religion, including administrative procedures for registrations of group religious practices and religious operation by religious organizations.
