The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in Tra Vinh province held on May 16 a ceremony for opening its Buddhist summer retreat 2022.

The event saw the presence of Most Venerable Thạch Sok Xane, Chairman of the VBS executive committee in the province; Most Venerable Thích Trí Minh, Standing Vice Chairman of the VBS executive committee in the province; Most Venerable Thích Huệ Pháp, Vice Chairman of the VBS executive committee cum Head of the Board of monk affairs in the province.
Speaking at the event, Most Venerable Thạch Sok Xane asked monks and nuns participating in the Buddhist summer retreat to enhance virtue and Buddhist knowledge, as well as strictly follow rules of the Buddhist summer school in the province.

During the event, the provincial VBS executive committee also announced the decision approving the personnel of the VBS executive committee’s office in the province for the 2022-2027 term with six members headed by Venerable Thích Minh Trí.
