The Bao Tang ordination conference 2022 (B.E.2566) of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) chapter in Ninh Thuan province solemnly opened on September 7 at Sung An pagoda located in Phu Ha ward of the province’s Phan Rang – Thap Cham city.

Present at the event included Most Venerable Chairman of the VBS’s Central Executive Council Thích Thiện Nhơn, Most Venerable Vice Chairman of the VBS’s Central Executive Council Thích Thiện Pháp, Most Venerable Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Committee in Ninh Thuan province Thích Hạnh Thể, and heads of Buddhist monasteries and a large of lay Buddhists in Ninh Thuan and neighboring provinces.

The ordination conference is taking place from September 7-10 with over 100 monks and nuns to be fully ordained as bhikkhus, bhikkhunis, novice monks and nuns.
The ordination conference in Ninh Thuan took the name of Bao Tang, a venerable Buddhist dignitary with great contributions for the revival and development of Buddhism in Ninh Thuan.
