VBS in Ha Tinh review Buddhist affairs 2022

The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Commitee in Ha Tinh province held on December 20 a meeting for reviewing Buddhist affairs 2022 and mapping out plans of activities for 2023.

Vice Chairman of provincial Party Commission for Mass Mobilization Nguyễn Hải Nam presents floral congratulation to Most Venerable Thích Bảo Nghiêm

The event saw the presence of Most Venerable Thích Bảo Nghiêm, Vice President of the VBS’s Central Executive Council cum Chairman of the provincial VBS Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the provincial Party Commission for Mass Mobilization Nguyễn Hải Nam, and large numbers of Buddhist monks, nuns and lay followers in the province.

As reported at the event, the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee successfully convened its congress for the 2022-20227 tenure this year. In the national VBS congress, Most Venerable Thích Bảo Nghiêm was reselected as Vice President of the VBS’s Central Executive Council cum Chairman of the VBS central Committee for Propagation, three members of the provincial VBS elected as members of the VBS Central Executive Council, and four venerable monks in Ha Tinh promoted as senior venerables.

Last year, the VBS Executive Committee in the province spent over 1.9 billion VND on social charities for presenting supports to policy families, providing free meals for patients, presenting bicycles to poor pupils, etc.
