The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Chapter in Phu Tho province held on January 11 a conference for reviewing Buddhist affairs 2021 and mapping out plans of activities for 2022.
At the year-end conference
The event taking place at Thien Long pagoda in Viet Tri city was chaired by Senior Venerable Thích Minh Nghiêm, Member of the VBS’s Executive Council cum Chairman of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee and attended by representatives from the district – level VBS’s Executive Boards in 13 districts in the province.
Guests at the event included Deputy Director of Home Affairs Department cum Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Lê Công Luận and Vice Chairwoman of the provincial Party Commission for Mass Mobilization Dương Thị Thu Vân.
The event discussed the VBS’s performance in 2021 and working plans for 2022. As reported, in 2021, the VBS chapter in Phu Tho province has sent supports and gift sets, worth 2.5 billion VND in total, to the Covid-19 prevention work and the disadvantaged in localities.
