The 6th congress of Catholics for national construction and defense in Ninh Thuan province for 2022-2027 tenure was successfully held on December 9.
At the congress
The event saw the presence of Vice President of the Central Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics Nguyễn Văn Toàn, and over 100 Catholic delegates in the province.
Local guests at the event included Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in the province Lê Văn Bình, Chairwoman of the provincial Party Commission for Mass Mobilization Chamaléa Thị Thủy, and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Lê Huyền.
The congress selected 42 members to the Catholic Solidarity Committee in Ninh Thuan for the 2022 – 2027 tenure with Priest Peter Trần Văn Hải, Head of Quang Thuan parish elected as Head of the Committee.

On the occasion, local authorities presented certificates of commendation to four Catholic groups and six individuals for their outstanding contributions during the 2017-2022 tenure. The Central Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics and the provincial Committee for Solidarity Catholics also presented certificates of merit to four Catholic groups and six individuals.
