The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee in Hue city has motivated local religious communities to participate in the movement “Red color of roses in ancient capital”.
Catholic community in Phu Cam and Hue municipal authorities plant roses in response to movement “Red color of roses in ancient capital”
For the last six months, the VFF in Hue city in collaboration with Phuoc Vinh authorities and the pastoral council of Phu Cam parish has implemeted the programs for “Sunday for community” and “red color of roses in ancient capital”.
Since then, the VFF in city and 36 communes have presented 70 old rose trees to the pastoral council of Phu Cam parish for plantation in Phu Cam church.
In addition, the VFF has collaborated with the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s board for Buddhist guidance in implementing these programs amongst 53 Buddhist Families in the city.
The VFF in the city has also guided the grassroots – level VFF boards to collaborate with religious establishments in implementing the program in localities. In particular, religious establishment and dignitaries in districts of Thuy Xuan, Truong An, Tay An have proactively responded the program with many practical activities by presenting, planting and taking care of flowers, and encouraging lay religious to plant flowers in Buddhist establishments and monasteries, etc.
