Tien Dai pagoda was built in 1837 by Monk Thích Nguyên Phước and Monk Thích Tịnh Quang, and has been upgraded three times in 1960, 1972 and 1994. As the pagoda has seriously degraded after a long time of existence and no longer met current religious needs of local Buddhists, Most Venerable Thích Nhựt Tấn has initiated the reconstruction of the pagoda.
