Pu Nha Thau temple Festival kicks off in Nghe An

After two years of Covid-19 pandemic impacts, ethnic groups of Nghe An province’s Ky Son district have eagerly taken part in Pu Nha Thau temple Festival.

The temple festival 2023 took place on February 13-15(from the 23rd day to 25th day of the first lunar month).

The festival aimed to honor merits of gods who protected the village, as well as to introduce beautiful traditions of the land and people in the border area.

The event featured various traditional activities including worshipping rituals, a palanquin procession, art performances, show of traditional costumes, and folk games such as tug of war, pushing sticks, “Nem con” (Con ball throwing), etc.

Pu Nha Thau Temple, a provincial historical and cultural relic, located on the top of a mountain in Na Luong village of Huu Kiem commune. The temple worships General Đoàn Nhữ Hài, Thuong Ngan Goddess and other deities.
