A delegation from the provincial government of Gia Lai led by Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Rah Lan Chung paid on May 10 a visit to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in the province, ahead of the Buddha’s Birthday 2022 (B.E. 2566)

At the visiting reception, Deputy Secretary Rah Lan Chung extended Vesak greetings to the VBS Executive Committee in the province, as well as monks, nuns and lay Buddhists in the province. He also highly appreciated practical contributions made by local Buddhists for socio-economic development, and the Covid-19 prevention work in the locality over the past years.
* On the same day, The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) in Vinh Long province held a meeting with key members of the provincial VBS’s Executive Committee and the Pure-land Buddhist Association in the province on occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday 2022 (B.E. 2566).
An overview of the meeting
During the meeting, while extending happy celebrations of Buddha’s Birthday to all monks, nuns and lay Buddhists in the province, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Nguyễn Thành Thế spoke highly of practical contributions made by the provincial VBS Executive Committee and the Pure-land Buddhist Association’s Executive Committee in proactively responding to patriotic movements and social programs launched by local authorities.
