The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in Ha Tinh province held on March 11 a meeting for approving a plan to organize the provincial VBS congress for the 2022 - 2027 tenure.
At the meeting
The event taking place at the Buddhist Culture Center in the province was chaired by Most Venerable Thích Bảo Nghiêm, Vice President of the VBS’s Central Executive Council cum Chairman of the VBS executive committee in the province.
The one-day meeting approved draft documents including a report on the Buddhist affairs in the last tenure and key plans proposed for the 2022-2027 term, as well as gathered comments raised by participating monks, nuns on other preparations, and unanimously established 10 sub-committees for successfully organizing the congress.
Accordingly, the 4th VBS congress in Ha Tinh province and the photo exhibition themed "20 years of establishment and development of VBS chapter in Ha Tinh province" have been scheduled to take place on July 14 and 15, 2022 at the Buddhist Culture Center in the province with an expected number of 300 delegates and guests.
