The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Committee in Tra Vinh province held on February 18 a meeting for approving a plan for convening the provincial-level VBS congress for the 2022 - 2027 tenure.

The meeting was presided by Most Venerable Thạch Sok Xane, Chairman of the VBS executive committee in Tra Vinh province, and joint by Most Venerable Thích Trí Minh, Most Venerable Thạch Oai and Most Venerable Thích Huệ Pháp, Vice Chairmen of the VBS executive committee, heads of Buddhist worshipping places, and representatives from concerning local authorities.
The one-day meeting approved the preparation plan and the scheduled time to hold the provincial-level Buddhist congress, as well as gathered comments raised by monks, nuns and abbots of Buddhist worshipping places in the province on the nominated personnel of the VBS’s executive committee in the province for the 2022 - 2027 tenure.
Accordingly, the 7th provincial-level VBS congress in Tra Vinh province is scheduled to take place on April 8 and 9, 2022 at the Convention Center of the province with an expected number of 398 delegates and guests.
