The 18th Catholic Youth Festival of Hanoi ecclesiastical province was successful held on November 25-26 in Phu Tho province.

The event taking place at Hung Temple Historic Site in Phu Tho province saw the presence of Archbishop Marek Zalewski, the Vatican's non-resident Special Envoy to Vietnam, Archbishop Joseph Vũ Văn Thiên of Hanoi Archdiocese, and large numbers of bishops, priests and about 20,000 youth from 10 dioceses of Hanoi ecclesiastical province (Hanoi Archdiocese, and dioceses of Lang Son, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Hung Hoa, Bui Chu, Phat Diem, Thanh Hoa, Vinh and Ha Tinh).
Distinguished guests at the event included Director of Catholic Affairs Department under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Đinh Quang Tiến and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Hồ Đại Dũng.
With the theme “Coming to the periphery”, the 18th Catholic Youth Festival created opportunities for young Catholics in the Hanoi ecclesiastical province to meet and exchange experiences in living and practicing their faith in each region, and featured many activities including the presentation of topics "Coming to the periphery", "Church in sync”, art performances, religious rites and the Eucharistic adoration, etc.
