The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee in Quang Binh held on November 4 a conference to establish and elect personnel of the VBS executive board in Minh Hoa district for the 2022-2027 period.

Attending the event included Most Venerable Thích Tánh Nhiếp, Chairman of the provincial VBS Executive Committee, Head of the provincial Party’s Commission for Internal Affairs Nguyễn Lương Bình, representatives from local authorities, and large numbers of Buddhist monks, nuns and lay followers in the province.
Minh Hoa is a mountainous district of Quang Binh province and the only locality without the district-level VBS executive body. The establishment of the VBS executive board in Minh Hoa district will consolidate the organization system of the VBS in the province according to the Charter of the VBS and provisions of the Law on Belief and Religion.
The event selected Venerable Thích Trúc Thái Minh as Head of the VBS’s executive board in Minh Hoa district for the 2022-2027 period.
