A volunteer blood donation program was held on March 23 at Quang Nam Medical College located in Tam Ky city of Quang Nam province.
The program was co-organized by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) chapter in Quang Nam and the provincial Vietnam Youth Union on occasion of the 91st founding anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2022) and the upcoming 6th provincial-level Buddhist congress for 2022-2027 tenure in the province.
The event saw the presence of Senior Venerable Thích Viên Quán, Chief of the provincial VBS’s office; Deputy Secretary of the provincial Youth Union Hoàng Văn Thanh, and large numbers of monks, nuns, members of Buddhist families and the youth union in the province.
During the event, all volunteers were screened by doctors, checked for blood pressure and tested for blood samples before participating in the blood donation./.
