A ceremony commemorating the 103rd Birthday Anniversary of Hoa Hao Buddhism’s Founder Huỳnh Phú Sổ was held on December 18 at the official of the representative committee of the Buddhist sect in Ca Mau province.

Present at the event included Chairman of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Representative Committee in Ca Mau province Phạm Thừa Nhơn, representatives of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs and other religious organizations in the province, and over 400 Hoa Hao Buddhists.
During the ceremony, the Hoa Hao Buddhist representative committee in the province also reviewed social and religious affairs of the Hoa Hao Buddhist church in 2022.
As reviewed at the ceremony, in 2022, Hoa Hao Buddhist church has spent over 9.2 billion VND in total on constructions of charitable houses and rural roads, and other charitable programs helping the disadvantaged in the province.
On the occasion, the provincial VFF presented ten certificates of commendation to outstanding Hoa Hao Buddhists for honoring their practical contributions in the locality over the past years.
