Cua Ong Temple festival 2023 to promote its values

After two years of Covid-19 pandemic impacts, Cua Ong Temple festival 2023 in Quang Ninh province’s Cam Pha district will be organized with many new features to attract local residents and visitors.

Cua Ong Temple festival is held annually on the 3rd day and the 4th day of the second lunar month to honor Trần Quốc Tảng, a national hero in the resistance wars against the Mongol invaders and defense of the country’s northeastern region under the Tran Dynasty, as well as to promote unique values of Cua Ong Temple - national special historical site.

According to Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee in Cam Pha city Phạm Văn Kính, this year, the festival will be organized on a large scale, covering an opening and closing ceremonies, worshipping rituals, a palanquin procession and folk games such as tug of war, pushing sticks, human chess, photo exhibition, Quan Ho singing, racing boats, etc.

In addition, the city will organize the exhibition "Rose Festival" in response to the movement "Cam Pha City - City of Million Roses" and a singing contest with the participation of local residential areas in the city.
