Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics holds 5th plenary meeting

The Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics (CSVC) convened the 5th plenary meeting for the 2018-2023 tenure in the South province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau on June 22.

Vice President of the VFF Central Committee speaks at the meeting

The event saw the presence of Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Ngô Sách Thực and Priest Joseph Trần Xuân Mạnh, President of the CSVC.

The one-day meeting reviewed reports on the CSVC’s performance in the first six months of 2022, discussed the draft decision on the establishment of the organization board 18 members of the 8thnational congress of Vietnamese Catholics building and protecting the homeland for the 2023-2028 tenure, and commented on the organization of the Congress.

Addressing at the event, Vice President Ngô Sách Thực stated that, thanks to the cooperation between the VFF and the CSVC, the patriotic emulation movement among Catholic communities has recorded many good results, contributing to the socio-economic of the country and ensuring national public security.

The VFF official also expressed hope that the CSVC would continue to speed up active responses to patriotic movements and programs launched by the VFF in Catholic residential areas.
