Charity houses to disadvantaged families sponsored by Buddhist Sangha in Ben Tre kicked off

The Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) chapter in Ben Tre province’s Cho Lach district held a ceremony on March 21 for starting constructions of a charity houses for the disadvantaged family of Mrs. Lê Ngọc Ngân in Lan Dong village of Phu Son commune.

Present the ceremony included Most Venerable Head of the VBS chapter in the district Thích Giác Hương, Most Venerable Chairman of the VBS executive board Thích Xương Đạo, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the district Fatherland Front Committee Nguyễn Thị Huệ Thanh, and Secretary of Phu Son commune Party’s Committee Lệ Thị Kim Chi.
The construction is the fourth house of an annual charity program launched by the Buddhist executive board, valued at 50 million VND each, to disadvantaged families in the province.
