Responding the campaign “Together We” launched by Caritas Vietnam, Caritas Phan Thiet has held training conferences on environment protection and caring for the poor in its deaneries.
The training conferences saw the participation of over 250 members of Caritas from deaneries of Bac Tuy, Phan Thiet and Duc Tanh of the diocese.
The events covered contents of the “Together we” campaign of Caritas Vietnam and working plans of Caritas Phan Thiet for 2021-2024 period, including training conferences on environment protection and taking care of the poor in deaneries, organization of Laudato Si Week, programs for tree plantation and waste classification by parishioners, etc.
The deaneries also launched working plans in response to guidance of the diocese’s Caritas including charity visits to poor households in parishes, communication on environment protection for groups in parishes, especially young people and women, wastes classification, usage of probiotics for organic waste, tree plantation and limited use of plastic bags, etc.
The campaign “Together we” was launched on December 13, 2021 by the Caritas Vietnam appealing to each person to be more aware of their mission in protecting nature and humans being before climate change, caring together for the common home and caring for the poor under teachings of the two encyclicals Laudato Si and Fratelli Tutti.
