Caodai parish in Ben Tre inaugurates new Divine Goddess worshipping temple


Phu Phung – Vinh Binh Caodai parish under the Tay Ninh Caodai Church in Phu Phung commune of Ben Tre province’s Cho Lach district held on May 1 a ceremony for the formal inauguration of its new Divine Eye worshipping temple.

The event saw the presence of Cardinal President of the Tay Ninh Caodai Church’s Executive Committee Thượng Tám Thanh, Priest Chairman of the Caodai Church’s provincial Representative Committee Ngọc Gắt Thanh, and a large number of Caodai followers in Ben Tre and neighboring provinces.

Local guests at the event included Vice Chairwoman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Đặng Thị Phượng and Vice Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Phạm Ngọc Thành.

The Phu Phung Vinh Binh Caodai parish was established in 1967 with its original oratory built by semi-materials. In 2008, the provincial authorities approved for the Caodai parish to rebuild the worshipping temple. The construction of the new temple has been completed with the total investment of over 4.6 billion VND and 3,750 working days.
