Thanh Phu Caodai parish under the Tay Ninh Caodai Church in Ben Tre province’s Thanh Phu district held on February 23 a ceremony for the inauguration of its new Divine Goddess worshipping temple.
Present at the event included Cardinal Chairman of the Tay Ninh Caodai Church Thượng Tám Thanh, and Caodai followers in Ben Tre and neighboring province.
Guests at the event included Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Dương Văn Xem and Deputy Secretary of district Party Committee in Thanh Phu district Phạm Văn Bé Năm.

According to Head of Thanh Phu Caodai parish Thượng Thư Thanh, the original Divine Goddess worshipping temple was established in 1952 and has seriously deteriorated after 71 years of existence. In 2018, the provincial authorities approved for the Caodai parish to rebuild the worshipping temple. The construction of the new temple has been completed after over four years with the total investment of over 4.5 billion VND and 8,155 working days.
