Present at the meeting included Deputy Director of the Department of Labour, War invalids and Social Affairs in the province Nguyễn Thị Mỹ Nương and Chairwoman of the sponsoring association for poor patients, people with disabilities and orphans in the province Võ Thị Chín.

The association currently has nine chapters and one deaf and dumb club. As reported, in 2022, the association spent over 17.9 billion VND on construction of charitable houses, medical treatment for disadvantaged people, and presentation of wheelchairs and scholarships to pupils of people with disabilities.

During the meeting, the association handed over two certificates of commendation to one group and one individual of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in the province, and the provincial People’s Committee presented four certificates of commendation to two lay Buddhists of the provincial VBS and two members of Hong Lac charity group under the Ban Chinh (Correction-Path) Caodai Church in the province for their practical contributions in movements launched for the poverty reduction and taking care for the disabled in the locality.
