The Bani Islamic Community in Ninh Thuan province held its 4th congress for the 2023-2028 tenure on July 12.
Attending the event were 80 delegates representing seven Bani temples (Haluw Sang Magik) in the province.

The 4th congress of the Bani Islamic community reviewed results of religious affairs in the 2016-2023 period, outlined working plans for the next term, and amended the regulation on the organization and operation of Bani Islam’s dignitary council and made it be the Bani Islam’s charter according to the Law of Belief & Religion 2016.
The congress also selected 35 dignitaries to the Bani Islam’s Council of Dignitaries for the 2023-2028 tenure, with Rev. Châu Minh Hương elected as the president of the council.

As reported, Ninh Thuan province currently has about 30,000 Bani Muslims residing in 12 hamlets of Ninh Hai, Ninh Son, Ninh Phuoc and Thuan Nam districts.
On the occasion, the provincial authorities presented certificates of recommendation to two groups and four individuals of the Bani Islamic community for their outstanding contributions in encouraging Muslims to proactively engage in movements launched for promoting rural and urban development, environmental protection and climate change adaptation in the locality.
