1,000 trees planted in Vietnam Buddhist Institute in Hanoi

The Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Hanoi launched on June 26 a tree-planting program on occasion of the Buddhist summer retreat 2022 (BE. 2566.)

The event was held as a response to the President's call to "Planting a billion trees - For a green Vietnam".

The launching ceremony taking place in the Vietnam Buddhist Institute in Hanoi saw the presence of Most Venerable Thích Thanh Quyết, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Executive Council cum President of the Buddhist Institute; Most Venerable Thích Thanh Đạt, Chairman of the Buddhist Institute’s Scientific Council cum Superintendent of Soc Thien Vuong Buddhist summer retreat school, members of the Buddhist Institute’s scientific council, lectures, student monks and nuns of the Buddhist Institute participating the summer retreat.

During the event, 1.000 red rosewood trees presented by people and Buddhists in the Central Highlands were planted in the Buddhist Institute’s campus.
