Vietnam Buddhist culture month opens in Hungary

A program introducing the Vietnam Buddhist Culture in Hungary opened on October 1 at the hall of Dharma Gate Buddhist College.

Attending the opening ceremony of the program “Vietnam Buddhist Culture month” included Most Venerable Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s (VBS) Propagation Committee Thích Thiện Bảo, Dr. Principal of Buddhist College Jelen János, Counselor, Head of Community Affairs of the Vietnam Embassy to Hungary Nguyễn Đức Dương and large numbers of Buddhists and Vietnamese and Hungarian people.

The program organized by the Vietnamese Buddhist Association and the Buddhist Culture Center in Hungary in collaboration with the Dharma Gate Buddhist College, features a wide range of activities including film screening, introduction of Vietnamese vegetarian cuisine, tea meditation, poetry Vietnam-Hungary and exchanges on Buddhist teachings between Vietnamese and Hungarian scholars and researchers.

The event will last until October 29.
