Exchange experience conference on religious affairs between Vietnam and Laos closes

The closing ceremony of the exchange experience conference on religious affairs between Vietnam and Laos in 2024 was held on September 30 in Hanoi.

Attending the event included Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Tiến Trọng, Director of the Research and Training Center under the Laos Central Front for National Development Khanonglid Sisombun, Deputy Director of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs under the Laos Ministry of Home Affairs Khamnghien Sengsulinha, and cadres from the national development front and home affairs sectors in Laos participating in the conference.

The exchange experience conference on religious affairs between Vietnam and Laos took place from September 25 - 30 with eight topics and field trips to several localities in Vietnam was part of the memorandum of understanding for 2022-2026 period between the Vietnam Government Committee for Religious Affairs and the Laos Central Front for National Development.

At the event, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Government Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Tiến Trọng handed over certificates of completion of the exchange experience program to members of Laos delegates.

He stated that the Vietnam Government Committee for Religious Affairs would continue proposing to the Ministry of Home Affairs on contents of upcoming exchange conferences based on feedbacks from Laos delegation at the conference in order to meet the practical need of religious affairs in the two countries of Vietnam and Laos, practically contributing to foster cooperation between religious agencies of the two countries and the special solidarity and friendship between the Governments and People of Vietnam and Laos.

On behalf of the Laos delegation, Director of the Research and Training Center under the Laos Central Front for National Development Khanonglid Sisombun thanked the Vietnam Ministry of Home Affairs and the Vietnam Government Committee for Religious Affairs for the warm welcome extended to the Laos delegation, as well as highly appreciated the conference organization and topics presented at the event.
