Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) Ngô Sách Thực hosted on May 22 a reception for a visiting delegation from the Seventh-day Adventist world church led by Pastor President Ted Norman Clair Wilson.
Sharing with the guest on roles and responsibilities of the VFF, Vice President Ngô Sách Thực said that the VFF has made relentless efforts for consolidating the great national unity bloc as well as promote networking amongst religious communities.
He also highlighted contributions by the Vietnam Adventist Church in environment protection with many model developed and social charities, including the presentation of 3,000 cows to poor people in Cao Bang province.
The Vice President asked the Seventh-day Adventist world church to further support the Vietnam Adventist Church in the implementation of the program on environmental protection and climate change adaption signed by other 39 religious organizations in Vietnam.
For his part, Pastor Ted Norman Clair Wilson took the chance to thank State authorities of Vietnam, including the VFF, for support and favorable conditions extended to religious affairs of the Vietnam Adventist Church and religious practices of its followers throughout the country.
