The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Central Executive Council released on May 3 a dispatch calling for donations for helping Buddhists and people affected by the current wave of the Covid-19 pandemic in India.
The dispatch signed by Senior Venerable Thích Đức Thiện, Vice President cum General Secretary of the VBS executive council appealed to monks, nuns, and alumni in India for making donations to Buddhists and people severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic over the last days in India.
The VBS plans to send 20 AW110 high pressure oxygen generators with the total value of about 1.2 billion VND to India by the earliest relief flight from Vietnam to India scheduled on May 19, 2021.
The VBS have been collecting donations from May 3 to May 19, 2021 through the bank account of the VBS’s Central Office.
