Vatican Archbishop and Ho Chi Minh city’s Caritas extend charitable visits to disadvantaged people

On June 18, Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli - Vatican’s non-resident Special Envoy to Vietnam and representatives of Caritas Office in Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC) visited disadvantaged families in the HCMC archdiocese.

Joining the delegation included Sister Teresa Ngọc Thủy and Sister Maria Như Lai.

The charitable delegation visited disadvantaged families in deaneries of Tan Dinh, Chi Hoa and Tan Son Nhi. The delegation also visited the patient-transiting house of the Caritas in Ho Chi Minh city (located at No. 887/1D in CMT8 street, Tan Binh district) currently keeping many people with critical illness, old patients and poor patients from the central provinces.

During the visits, the Vatican Archbishop presented gifts and gave blessings to poor patients.
