The festival saw the presence of Counselor of the Embassy of the People's Democratic Republic of Laos in Vietnam Amphavanh Kouangmanivanh, the Management Board of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, representatives from Vietnam Van Hien Foundation and local authorities, and large numbers of locals and visitors.

According to history, upon order from the Laotian King, Nhồi Hoa Princess led a herd of elephants to pay tribute and help elephant taming for Lê Thánh Tông King. On the way back to Laos, she fell ill and died suddenly at Den hill in Thai Son village of Son Lai commune. Upon her death, local people buried her in a tomb and built Thuong Thai Son temple to worship her. The temple was recognized as a provincial relic site in 2007.

The temple festival is annually held on the third day of the third lunar month and often features worshipping rituals and typical art performances of ethnic groups of Vietnam and Laos, contributing to strengthen the two countries’ friendship.
