A requiem for Vietnamese martyrs who dedicated their lives to the fight for the national sovereignty over islands and territorial integrity took place at Tu An Pagoda in Berlin, Germany on July 17.
Attending the event held on occasion of the Vietnamese War Invalid and Martyrs’ Day (July 27) included representatives of the Veterans Association and Vietnamese communities in Germany, and Buddhist followers in the city.
During the requiem, Venerable Abbott of Tu An Pagoda Thích Từ Nhơn and Venerable Thích Pháp Nhật conducted prayers and Buddhist rites to honor those who rendered meritorious services to the country.
Buddhists and participants also joint together in Buddhist practices for spiritual uplifting for expressing gratitude to those sacrificing their life for the country.
