Chairman of Lam Dong provincial Committee for Religious Affairs (PCRA) Ngô Văn Đức hosted a reception on October 28 for a visiting delegation from the US Adventist Church led by Pastor Daniel George Smith.
Joining the US delegation included Pastor Head of the Vietnam Adventist Church Trần Thanh Truyện.
During the reception, Chairman Ngô Văn Đức shared about activities of the Adventist Church in the province and spoke highly of practical contributions made by the Adventist Church to the development of the locality. He also informed the current policy and law of Vietnam on belief and religion, stating that the State of Vietnam always respect and ensure people’s right to freedom of belief and religion.
According to the Chairman, Lam Dong province currently has six Protestant congregations with over 7,000 members and 5 worshipping places.
The religious committee official also had exchanges with Pastor Daniel George Smith on issues related to the opening of classes to teaching culture and Bible in religious places and administrative procedures for free medical examination and distribution of medicines.
