Most Venerable Thích Thiện Nhơn (R) and Senior Venerable, Dr. Dhammapiya

The IBC delegation was led by Senior Venerable, Dr. Dhammapiya, General Secretary of the IBC, and joint by Dr. Barbara Maas, Secretary for IBC’s Environment and Wildlife Conservation.

At the visiting reception

During the visit, Senior Venerable Dr. Dhammapiya expressed his honor to meet the President of the VBS Executive Council and hope that the VBS would support a project launched by the IBC for environmental protection and conservation of endangered wild animals.

Speaking with the guests, Most Venerable Thích Thiện Nhơn thanked the visiting delegation and stated that the VBS would issue a dispatch to monks, nuns and lay Buddhist in the country appealing for environmental protection, conservation and non-consumption of products from endangered wild animals.
