Japanese Buddhist delegation extends New Year visit to Vietnam Buddhist Sangha

The Standing Committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Council received a Japanese Buddhist delegation led by Most Venerable Yoshimizu Daichi at the Central VBS’s Southern Office in Quang Duc Monastery in Ho Chi Minh city on February 23.

Speaking at the reception, Most Venerable Thích Thiện Nhơn, Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Council welcomed the delegation and said this New Year visit contributed to strengthen the traditional friendship between the two Buddhist Churches in Vietnam and Japan.

During its visit to Ho Chi Minh city, the Japanese Pure Land Buddhist delegation visited Vinh Nghiem pagoda and took part in a Buddhist chanting in the main hall of the pagoda.
