Under-Secretary of the Holy See for Relation with States Antoine Cailleri has extended visits to several Catholic places during his working visit to Viet Nam from January 16-21.
Deputy FM Antoine Camilleri was warmly welcomed by local bishops and priests of the Vietnam Catholic Church during his visits to Phat Diem diocese cathedral, the Our Lady of La Vang Pilgrimage Centre, Archdioceses of Hue and Ho Chi Minh City and Head Office of the Vietnam Catholic Church located in Ho Chi Minh City.
As reported, during the visit to Vietnam, the Vatican Deputy FM also paid courtesy visits to Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Phạm Bình Minh, and had exchange meetings with Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bùi Thanh Sơn and Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng.
